Rev Pr Karasira Prosper


Rev. Prosper Karasira is the second and current Principal of Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic . He served in various capacities such as secondary school teacher, Director of TVET School, a Pastor in Charge of Education in EAR, Shyogwe Diocese and in charge of Education Partnerships, chaplain of the Bishop and He is the current First Deputy Legal Representative of EAR, Shyogwe Diocese. Throughout those posts that Rev. Prosper occupied, he showed the great commitment on each work he was assigned to do. In fact, he is a hard working person, passionate man of God called to serve. His experience in education field enables him to work with national and international partners and easily achieve the goals. He holds many certificates of merit in Education field, a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Masters degree from Uganda Christian University.

Kanyamanza Corneille

Vice Principal of Academics and Training

KANYAMANZA Corneille is the Vice Principal of Hanika AIP. In his role as Vice Principal he coordinates academic programs as well as research programs and ensures their implementation. He also oversees HANIKA AIP’s compliance with Government TVET Laws and Guidelines and ensures the implementation of long-term strategies.

Corneille Kanyamanza has an experienced background in Education. He has worked as a Biology and Geography Teacher at various Secondary Schools and prior to joining HAIP worked as a School Manager in two different institutions. Corneille holds a Bachelors Degree in Science with Education: Biology, Geography with Education (BGE) from Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) and a Masters Degree in Education Management and Administration from University of Kigali (UoK).

Borowski, Hannah Josephine

Project Manager for partnerships and Policy processes

Hannah Borowski is posted by United Evangelical Mission as a German development worker for International Project Management to HAIP. She is supporting the HAIP administration in the areas of partnerships, public relations and academic policy processes.

Hannah has a background in education and policy. Prior to joining HAIP she worked with various educational institutions and projects both in Europe and in Africa. Hannah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Free University of Berlin and a Master’s degree in International and European Studies from the Centre International de Formation Européenne as well as being a certified Policy Officer for European and International Organizations.

Uwizeyimana Jean Baptiste

Hod of Civil engineering

UWIZEYIMANA J.Baptiste is the Head of HAIP Civil Engineering Department. He is in charge of developing the department’s strategic plan and ensuring its implementation by coordinating academic staff effectively and supervising the department’s administrative, academic and research developments.

Having worked in construction J.Baptiste brings a practical perspective to our Civil Engineering Diploma. He has experience through working in both foreman and supervisor roles with various construction companies. J.Baptiste holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil and Environmental Geomatics Engineering, from University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.

Niyituragiye Vedaste

Hod of Computer Engineering

NIYITURAGIYE Vedaste is the Head of HAIP ICT Department. He manages the academic ICT department and provides strategic input into ICT planning, budgets and projects. Additionally he is responsible for a high quality ICT service to staff and students.

Before his appointment as Head of Department of ICT at Hanika Anglican Integrated Polytechnic, NIYITURAGIYE Vedaste was Deputy of Studies at the Groupe Scolaire Indangaburezi. Prior to that he worked for the University of GITWE as Assistant Lecturer and ITE CISCO Instructor as well being a Trainer and IT Support in ESAPAG GITWE. Furthermore he served as Trainer at the Institut Presbyterienne de Kilinda. NIYITURAGIYE Vedaste holds a Bachelors degree in Science of Engineering, Computer Engineering and IT from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).

Jean Paul Mvuyekure

Head of Mechanical Engineering

MVUYEKURE Jean Paul is the Head of HAIP Mechanical Engineering Department. As part of his responsibilities he leads, organizes and advises the mechanical engineering staff to implement the department’s strategic plans.

Jean Paul comes to HAIP with a practical background as a machine designer and technician in the private sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.

Hishamunda Pierre

Academic Registrar

HISHAMUNDA Pierre is the Academic Registrar of HAIP. His responsibilities are diverse and range from academic scheduling to admission procedures and student recruitment as well as front line support and beyond.

Before his appointment as Academic Registrar at HAIP, Pierre was School Manager at Muhanga Youth Technology Center (MYTEC) and served as Assistant Lecturer at HAIP. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Engineering, Computer Engineering and IT from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology and a postgraduate degree in Education (PGDE) from the University of Kigali.
